Dr. Basile has elected to has opted out of the Medicare program at this time and does not accept health insurance. Members have timely access to Dr. Basile using an agreed fee schedule of services. However, members have a choice should they elect to submit a claim direct to their health insurance after seeing Dr. Nicole A. Basile. Filing your insurance claim does not have to be a complex process. The first step is to check your insurance policy to see if it covers out-of-network medical services. If it does, you will likely need to file a “non-participating provider claim.”
Assisting Members with Claim Submissions
To file this type of claim, you must gather all relevant documentation including the date of the medical service, the provider’s name, and the cost of the service. You will also need to complete and submit a claim form which can be obtained from your insurance provider’s website. Additional information such as a statement from Dr. Basile indicating that she do not accept insurance may also be required.
Once you have gathered all necessary information, you should submit it along with your claim form to your insurance provider. Make sure to keep a copy of everything you submitted for your records. The insurance company will then review the claim and determine if the out-of-network services are covered under your policy. If they are, the insurance provider will pay you directly. If not, you will be responsible for paying the full cost of the services yourself.

FAQs
Are there any other screening options besides a colonoscopy?
Aside from colonoscopy, there are other screening options available, including stool-based tests such as ColoGuard and FIT (fecal immunochemical test). These tests are generally recommended every one to three years, depending on the specific test and individual risk factors.
